Founded by Loretta Walsh, Kindred Entertainment is comprised of professional artists with the vision to create compelling, entertaining and accessible theatre for Vancouver audiences. With a focus on contemporary plays, Kindred Entertainment's inaugural production of ‘Lobby Hero’ by Kenneth Lonergan was a sold out and critical success. ‘Lobby Hero’ was named the Number One thing to do by the Peak radio station it’s closing weekend.

Loretta also produced (with Noel Johansen and Jenn Maclean Angus) a sold out production of ‘Dinner with Friends’ by Donald Margulies at Studio 1398.
Kindred Entertainment was proud to bring the Canadian premiere of ‘White Hot’ by Tommy Smith to The Shop Theatre, Vancouver in 2014.
Kindred’s most recent production was the original play “Either We Talk or We Don’t Talk” created by an ensemble of 8 actors and directed by Ben Ratner. This play and the process in which it was created, will be the premise of the documentary “Big Feelings” to be released in the near future.

Loretta was named one of the Top 10 Artistic Leaders for her producing and acting work by the Vancouver Sun.
